greetings from .... LA

Hey hey everyone!! Itz me , reporting from our hostel room in LA.. haha.. quick update

Touched down on Thurs.... was swept off to the car rental agency... abit blur still then... so we got a car... but they needed to check oil etc...so they directed us to the nearest.... In and Out!! hahaha..yeayyy!!! super nice fast food, freshly prepared burgers and fries! After that drove down to our hostel at Venice Beach. KY almost got us killed on the way there wif the left hand drive and all... hahaha..took a walk down Venice Beach after checking in... really quite cool! to be where they film movies..... unbelievable...after that..we drove down to Wal-Mart!! hahaha...yesss..the famed Wal-Mart...enormous i tell u! But getting anywhere in LA requires quite a lot of planning..which highway...etc etc..when we got there, we bought tons of snax man...haha..after that...stopped by Krispy Kream for dinner! woohooo...fantastic donuts...

Day 2: Woke up.... dilly dallied...left the room at 11...walked across the street... got distracted at a Burrito shop... hahaa..bought and ate... then got distracted by a record store... by the time we set off for Knott's Berry Farm was 12nn oredi... to our horror, when we reached there, we found out the park closed at 6pm... shit... so we fastly made our way in and took the rides....

2 rides worthy of mention. The first, was the Perilous PLunge. Much like a log ride, except the "log" was more of a boat... and the drop...was fricking 90 degrees!!!! At first, we were jus gawking at the drop.... we didnt realise we were standing near the end of the ride...where there was a bridge. In fact , there was a queue to get on the bridge...strange... then we saw the boat drop....

The next few seconds passed in slow mo... the boat hit the water...almost the entire thing was drenched in the spray. But the shocking part was wat came after that. The huge boat (almost 30 pple) created such a big wave, it looked alot like a tsunami... it came rushing towards the bridge and engulfed the whole fricking thing!! The people on the bridge were literally swallowed by the wave. Our jaws dropped.... and so we went on the ride.. hahaha...

Totally mind blowing.... Jus when u thot there G-force was bad, it was only about 70 degrees. The final 20 degrees to the drop were the worst. U scream but u can only scream until halfway becoz water gets into ur mouth for the rest of the drop.. u hit the bottom, with ur body drenched... amazing...

The next ride worthy of mention in the one called Ghost Rider... here is the dialogue that went on when we jus got on the ride.

Terry: Looks quite small leh.
Me: Yah...shd be easy lah...
Terry: ok...one for the road
(Roller-coaster takes first mild turn)
Terry and Me : (Mock Yawning) hahaha...easy peasy
(Coaster proceeds to ascend)
(~After 5 seconds of ascending and not stopping)
Me: Eh dis is quite high huh?
Terry: Dun worry, we have this in S'pore all the time..go up, turn a few rounds, finish liao
Me: Ok.... hey watz that...looks like our track leh (points to another wooden roller coaster track OUTSIDE the park compund...can't really see becoz our track is covering part of it)
Terry: Aiya...cannot be...so far away...
(Coaster reaches top of ascend)
Terry and me: (Realising that all of the above was untrue and wat we feared was true.) ARARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

(non-stop screaming for the rest of the ride)

Yesss that was it... hahaa..will update te rest another time! cyaaa!!
